KYSO is a youth organisation that is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are either not already engaged in performing arts/projects. The goal of the organisation is to identify and help young people who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the young people to make positive changes in his/her life.

KYSO has a ethos of inspiring, nurturing and developing our young people in today's society, We help to give opportunities to young people based on how they present themselves, they get to experience opportunities to become leaders in their own right, we have been rated outstanding 2015, we are aiming each time to become more and more popular in the city, the talent of our young people inspires the public and gives them confidence in us.
Our leadership team are committed to ensure that our members reach their full potential. We are proud of all our members and are committed to ensuring that everyone is safe, happy and contributing.
Our ethos is underpinned by my mission to ‘provide outstanding, life improving opportunities to all’.
We aim to provide:-

- a caring environment in which young people have a right to learn and a responsibility to work hard
- a personalised approach to events/projects where young people's talent, skills and abilities are recognised
- traditional values that promotes British values based on tolerance and respect for all individuals and their differences.

Youth groups have been part of the fabric of many communities for decades. Yet a surprisingly large number of people have never been exposed to them.
It’s no surprise, therefore, that these people are unaware of the many benefits a youth group could have on themselves. KYSO Trust does not only want to have performing arts young people, we also want to have non performers in the group who can be inspired, play a part in society and give back through volunteering, mentoring etc..
In a society where young people are often not given the opportunity to participate in groups because they either need to be talented or gifted, KYSO Family gives the opportunity to all, young people who just want to belong!
The benefits of KYSO community group is the ability to work in a team. Many youth groups will run team games or events where everyone can mix, KYSO does this regularly through events and ensuring that all young people can learn, engage and mix with each other.
This is an important skill to learn, as it stands young people in good stead for future life, whether in education, sport or different situations. A related benefit is the responsibility young people can be given in youth groups, which teaches them the skill of leadership; again, this can be put to use in any number of contexts later in life.
In addition to the ‘concrete’ benefits of KYSO community, Young people will also benefit from the general atmosphere. KYSO Family was designed to help young people who perhaps struggle to feel part of a wider community, or have been disadvantaged by an adverse situation or a lack of opportunities.
These Young people are often hurt, isolated and unhappy. KYSO community is a great place for young people to get back on their feet, with renewed confidence and a real sense of well-being. Not only this, but they may well also find that they are able to make new friends and to become part of a new social group.

KYSO Project CIC will focus on the following areas (Inspire, Nurture and Develop) but also looking at Honesty, Fair-Play and Respect, I want young people to be honest towards each other but be fair in the decisions they make, and they need to be respectful towards staff and the building but mainly to their peers and themselves.
